Gradual reopening of Duke Kunshan campus

Last updated: May 23, 2022

Duke Kunshan University started gradually reopening its campus on Monday, May 23, after more than 40 days of closed-loop management.

The adjustments follow a significant improvement in the COVID-19 situation in Kunshan/Suzhou and the move towards normalized prevention and control measures locally.

From May 23, faculty and staff who have stayed in Kunshan/Suzhou for the past 14 days can return to work on campus, subject to health code requirements. Other faculty and staff will continue to work from home until further notice.

The university will conduct on-site COVID-19 testing three times per week.

Community members have been urged to minimize group activities on campus and to maintain social-distancing and other anti-epidemic practices wherever they are.

DKU’s COVID-19 prevention and control measures are dynamic and will be adjusted based on the latest developments.
