Four DKU professors win grants from National Natural Science Foundation of China
Four DKU professors have received research funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one of the
country’s most prestigious academic programs. The recipients are: Ming Li, professor of electrical and computer
engineering; Xinrong Lin, associate professor of chemistry; Claudia Fernandes Nisa, assistant professor of behavioral
science; and Jianbo Yue, professor of biology.

DKU hosts annual Sustainability Day for new students

living means during the school’s annual Sustainability Day on August 13. The event, held for Class of 2029

DKU VaxLab supports HPV vaccine inclusion in China’s national immunization program
China has rolled out nationwide HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccine immunization for schoolgirls and included the HPV
vaccine in the National Immunization Program (NIP), a move expected to benefit millions of families. The Innovation Lab
for Vaccine Delivery Research (VaxLab) at DKU has played a pivotal role in providing evidence and advocacy to support

Suzhou pingtan performance brings Jiangnan culture to DKU
On the evening of Sept. 25, DKU Library and the Office of Student Experience hosted the Suzhou Pingtan Troupe for its
first campus performance at the DKU Theater. Held under the bright autumn moon ahead of China’s National Day, the event
drew hundreds of attendees from the DKU and local communities and offered a vivid introduction to Jiangnan cultural
traditions.
