As part of the global celebration ‘Fuqua Around the World’ of The Fuqua School of Business, Duke Kunshan University hosted this global event on March 26th . More than 50 Fuqua alumni, newly admitted students and current students of the Master of Management Studies (MMS) program at Duke Kunshan attended the event.
Fuqua Around the World is a global social event that Fuqua started in 2014, at which all Fuqua alumni celebrate on the same day around the world to network and catch up. Although the official date of this year’s event is March 30th, Duke Kunshan arranged this special event to kick off this global event in advance with a series of presentations and panel talks by Fuqua alumni.
After a campus tour led by MMS student ambassadors, the event started at the Water Pavilion located in the center of Duke Kunshan’s campus.
Luke Li (MBA ’06), director of the chancellor’s office at Duke Kunshan, welcomed all the alumni and admitted students and gave them an introduction to Duke Kunshan and its future plan.
Distinguished alumni including Liang Yu (MBA ’13), assistant director of executive education at Duke Kunshan, Edward Chen (MBA ’12), general manager at Wanda Wealth Management Company, Jodie Zhu (MBA ’13), regional director of East Asia of the Fuqua School of Business, and Feifei Xie (MBA ’10), co-founder at Health Management Solution, delivered keynotes on the latest school updates, career development, entrepreneurship, business trends and job search.
The event wrapped up with a panel session hosted by Bonnie Liu, associate director of career service for MMS: Duke Kunshan University program. Other Fuqua alumni were also invited to share their own experiences in this session. Cathy Fang (MBA ’12), senior manager of business planning & development at Shanghai Disney Resort, Alex Yen (MMS ’11), marketing operations manager at GE Healthcare, and Fred Wu (MMCi ’12), account manager at HAVAS Worldwide shared with the audience their best memories at Duke, and the challenges they have met during their career development.
